
The Kasiita Foundation : Together for a Better World for Everyone Through SDGs
Started in 2020, The Kasiita Foundations is a Community based Organization that supports Ugandan Youth Citizens, Disabled Women, Widows, Orphans and other vulnerable within the population through partnerships with other NGOs, businesses and academic institutions to accelerate progress towards achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Uganda by 2030

Background
In September 2015, 193 member states of the United Nations agreed upon 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030. For economic prosperity that leaves no one behind.
The SDGs were agreed upon with aim to end poverty and hunger, increase access to education, address migration, combat climate change and reduce inequality.
The world over has embraced them through governments, civil society, academia and the private sector. This has broken down silos and brought about effective collaboration around a common and universal development agenda.
